Bette Midler and husband Martin von Haselberg have made the decision to let go of their luxurious triplex penthouse on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, reports the New York Times . And now, they’ve put the property up for sale with an impressive asking price of $50 million.

Middler purchased the penthouse way back in 1996, and as she told the Times, it makes sense that someone in her line of work would have been happy there for so long, since it’s so close to the city’s theater district. But now, she says, “[i]t’s time for another family to enjoy it,” as the couple plan to get a smaller apartment somewhere else in New York.

That shouldn’t be too difficult to find, since this one is 7,000 square feet and three floors, plus another 3,000 square feet of terrace space. Altogether, it boasts 14 rooms at the top of a building on Fifth Avenue with views of both Central Park and the surrounding Manhattan skyline. And the living room, dining room, and library all open to those aforementioned expansive terraces. The penthouse’s official listing goes on to describe the bedroom floor:

“The private bedroom floor of the residence offers the flexibility of a six or seven bedroom layout. The two enormous bedrooms facing onto Central Park each have outstanding closet space, oversized bathrooms, and generous dressing areas. The beautiful corner master bedroom suite has oversized picture windows and a wonderful adjacent study/dressing room with a wood burning fireplace. The Eastern wing of this level includes a 24 x 17 family room with open city views, as well as three additional bedrooms. A full laundry and pressing room is conveniently located on this floor.”

Now, hopefully for the Midler family, a buyer with $50 million (or a satisfactory offer) will respond to the listing and become the penthouse’s new resident.

The Late Ivana Trump’s Gold-And-Leopard-Print NYC Townhouse Listed For $26.5 Million

The Manhattan penthouse that belonged to the late Ivana Trump , resplendent in its gold and leopard print interiors that loudly proclaim it as the residence of a member of the Trump family (albeit by marriage), has been listed for an asking price of $26.5 million.

Stepping inside the five-story penthouse’s gold entryway is “like stepping back in time to the 1980s,” the heyday of her marriage to former President Donald Trump . The residence’s unique style “is reflective of the glamorous, over-the-top aesthetic that helped define that era and the Trump real-estate portfolio.” Ivana purchase the townhome in 1992 for $2.5 million after completing divorce proceedings with her famous/infamous ex-husband.

Standing outside the limestone townhouse, you might never guess that the inside is such a borderline garish display of over-the-top luxury, with plenty of room for however many swanky parties the home’s next owner might want to throw. The property boasts more than 8,700 square feet of interior space, with five bedrooms and six bathrooms, but that doesn’t really capture the penthouse’s lavish, top-of-the-line luxury in every corner of every room. Travel between the home’s five floors with your choice of old-fashioned birdcage elevator or a red-carpeted marble staircase, or just hang out in the living room, which Trump humorously described in her 2017 book “Raising Trump” as being “how Louis XVI would have lived if he had had money.”

The entire third floor is given over to the penthouse’s primary suite, described like this in the property’s official listing:

“Occupying the entire third floor, the primary suite consists of an enormous, south-facing bedroom graced by a meticulously restored mural, and a private terrace accessed through three sets of charming French doors. An ensuite bathroom clad in pink Onyx marble and gold hardware boasts a double sink, oversized soaking tub, mirrored vanity and separate water closet. Across the floor, a bold, exotic office swathed in leopard print boasts an Onyx and gold fireplace and sits next to an oversized walk-in closet.”
